Cabinet painting Melbourne

Cabinet painting for a fresh kitchen without a rebuild.

Painting your kitchen, vanity or laundry cabinets is a fraction of the disruption of replacing them. We prepare every surface properly so the new finish is smooth, hard-wearing and easy to clean.

What's included

New colour, same cabinets.

Cabinets get handled every day, splashed and wiped constantly, so the finish has to be tougher than a wall's. The result depends on cleaning, sanding and priming each surface with products suited to what it's made of.

01

Kitchen cabinets

Doors, drawer fronts, kickboards and visible carcass panels are cleaned, sanded, primed and finished in a durable enamel.

02

Bathroom vanities

Vanities are prepared and coated with products suited to humid rooms, so the finish holds up to steam and splashes.

03

Laundry and built-ins

Laundry cupboards, wardrobes and other built-in joinery can be painted to match a new colour scheme.

04

Hardware and details

Handles and hinges are removed and refitted, so you can keep them or swap in new ones while the doors are off.

How it works

From first call to final coat.

You will know what is happening at each stage, from the first call to the final walk-through.

Pricing guidance

What affects the cost.

Cabinet painting is priced mainly on the number of doors, drawers and panels, the current material and finish, how much repair or filling is needed, and whether the inside of cabinets is included.

Glossy or laminate surfaces need extra preparation to make sure the new paint bonds. After a free site visit we send a written, itemised quote so you can compare it with the cost of replacing the cabinets.

Helpful answers

Questions homeowners ask.

Can laminate or 2-pac cabinets be painted?

In many cases, yes, with the right cleaning, sanding and bonding primer. We'll check the surface at the site visit and tell you honestly whether it's a good candidate.

How long will the kitchen be out of action?

Doors and drawers need time to dry and cure between coats. We'll give you a realistic timeframe and plan the work to keep the kitchen as usable as possible.

Will the finish be durable?

We use hard-wearing finishes made for cabinetry and allow proper drying time, so the surface stands up to everyday cleaning.

Can you change the handles at the same time?

Yes. Hardware is removed during painting, so it's an easy time to fit new handles. If the new handles need different holes, tell us before we start.

Do you give free cabinet painting quotes?

Yes. Call 0452 219 991 or email photos of your cabinets to get started.
